Black By Design was established in 2010 as an online only retailer and has worked closely with many brands to help us develop an extensive range of quality items for our customers

Unlike most retailers we took the decision to open our own shop in early 2018 which has given us the opportunity to display our brands to a wider range of customers based at the fabulous Mercia Marina just outside Derby http://www.merciamarina.co.uk

You are most welcome to visit us as we are open 7 days a week, to see for yourself what we have to offer, although we would suggest in contacting us first if you are looking for a specific item as we can only stock a small selection of our range in store.

Our original concept was to offer a range of stylish black home accessories as we believe that black has a timeless quality - always in fashion - just like the perfect little black dress!

As the business has grown other colours have been incorporated but we continue to select products based on the classic quality of their design.

We try to offer items that you may not find easily on the High Street.

The philosophy at Black by Design is to provide the best customer purchasing experience and we aim for the highest standards of customer satisfaction but if you are a first time buyer on our site and are feeling hesitant, we understand, so please feel free to look at our 3000 Feefo customer reviews here.

We use Feefo, an independent review company to monitor the high levels of service that we seek to attain as our customers report on their service experience with ourselves. In January 2023 we were awarded for the third consecutive year the Platinum Trusted Merchant award for our consistent high level of service.
