Giovanni Alessi created the kitchenware brand Alessi in 1921 on Lake Orta - a small valley in the Italian Alps known for its traditional metal & wood handicraft.
Since the 1980’s Alessi have focused on creating “designer objects” rather than everyday accessories and have collaborated with over 500 celebrated designers who have each brought something unique to the brand. They are proud to be part of the Italian Design Factories movement creating products that are practical to use yet part of the bigger design picture.
