First introduced in 1994, Alessandro Mendini’s iconic Anna G. corkscrew has long been a symbol of playful design and expressive form. Now, in celebration of its anniversary, Alessi presents a special 2025 edition—Anna G. Delft—reimagined with a fresh decorative language and crafted from innovative, sustainable materials.
This edition pays homage to the timeless elegance of Dutch Delftware, with Mendini drawing inspiration from traditional ceramic motifs and reinterpreting them through his distinctive visual lens. The result is a poetic interplay of shape, colour and decoration—transforming a functional object into a miniature design portrait.
The body is made from AlkiPaper® biocomposite, a sustainable material composed of paper and natural fibres, designed to decompose under controlled conditions. A hand-applied Delft-style sticker adds expressive charm, while the lever mechanism is precision-engineered in chrome-plated zamak and rolled steel—materials chosen for their durability and environmental efficiency.
With its smiling face and sculptural silhouette, Anna G. Delft is both practical and enchanting—a daily companion that brings character to the kitchen and joy to the table. A collector’s piece that celebrates storytelling, tradition and the unmistakable creative spirit of Mendini.
