Designed in 1974 by Danish‑Canadian designer Niels Bendtsen, the Limit Lounge Chair is a study in logical, material‑efficient construction. Raised in his father’s furniture factory, Bendtsen learned early that good design begins with understanding how things are made — a philosophy that shaped Limit’s iconic form. Created during a period of material scarcity, the chair was engineered to achieve maximum impact with minimal components: a lightweight steel frame paired with suspended padded upholstery, delivering comfort through clarity and reduction rather than excess.
This outdoor reissue by Normann Copenhagen stays true to Bendtsen’s original ethos while introducing weather‑ready materials. The frame is crafted from electroplated steel with a black powder‑coat for enhanced durability, while the padded cover features a UV‑stable inner layer of PVC‑coated PET and an outer layer of wadding and upholstery secured with a zipper. Optional connectors allow multiple chairs to be linked seamlessly, creating flexible modular arrangements for terraces, patios and outdoor lounge spaces.
For added protection, the outdoor version includes a complimentary rain cover, helping preserve the chair when not in use.

We offer FREE UK (Mainland) delivery on all orders of £70 and above and this includes furniture.
Our standard delivery service is with DPD or Royal Mail Tracked 48 service for UK mainland orders, for Scottish Highlands and Islands and Northern Ireland we use Royal Mail

Our aim is to despatch orders received before 2pm on the same day Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays)
For orders below £70 our delivery charge is £5.95
PREMIUM DELIVERY
We also offer a premium next day delivery service with DPD Local at a cost of £7.95 to mainland UK excluding the Scottish Highlands and Islands and Northern Ireland.

If we’re unable to deliver within the stated period due to circumstances beyond our control, we’ll let you know as soon as possible.
UNDELIVERABLE ORDERS
If an order is returned to us because it is undeliverable due to an incorrect delivery address, or if it is not collected from a courier pick‑up point and subsequently returned, we will refund the cost of the items minus any delivery charges paid.
Please note, we cannot accept responsibility if you choose to change the delivery address or request for your parcel to be left in a safe place after despatch.
