Stylish Pet Accessories

At Black By Design we understand that our much loved pets become part of the family. They provide plenty of enjoyment, comfort and unconditional love over their lifetime – not to mention their fair share of minor frustrations! Being a pet owner can be one of the greatest, most rewarding roles we choose to take on, and we have the power to treat our special friends and improve their quality of life. With this in mind, we stock some wonderful pet accessories that we think you will love.

From feeding bowls to beds, the practical pet accessories in your home can be as chic as you’d like, without cramping your home’s existing style. Some of our absolute favourite brands Alessi and Tweedmill have designed some fabulous pet accessories for cats and dogs that are just waiting to be discovered by you, our fellow animal lover.

The cat that got the cream

A stylish cat bowl to go along with a modern kitchen is easy to find if you know where to look. For a designer cat bowl that looks the part but still retains a sense of fun, we love the Alessi pet bowls. Successfully bringing a touch of modern design into the pet world, Alessi have mastered the food bowl design for cats and dogs, and we’re big fans of the quirky designs.

It’ll feel like you’re unveiling a banquet of food every time you lift the lid on the Mio cat bowl or Lula dog bowl from Alessi. The upturned design makes these feeding bowls easy to pick up, and the lid of each bowl has a lovely cat or dog handle meaning that food is kept covered and fresh until needed. Available in black or red, this specific design offers something a little different.

As you can see, the Alessi Tigrito Cat Bowl is a bestseller for a very good reason – this playful multi-functional cat bowl offers a set of two bowls suitable for water and food, with a charming cat tail acting as a handle. Designed by Miriam Mirri for Alessi, we adore the look of this unique cat bowl with the black and white elements, and stainless steel inner bowls. Super easy to take apart for cleaning, the Tigrito cat bowl is a much loved pet accessory and the purr-fect gift for your feline friend!

Pampered pooches

If your darling dog is in need of a bed upgrade, why not spoil them with an ultra comfortable dog bed from Tweedmill? Reflecting the British brand’s signature use of tweed and premium materials, the Tweedmill dog beds are carefully crafted with a tweed upper and a suede base. The soft base ensures that the bed can be placed on any kind of flooring without damaging it, whilst also providing a luxurious finish. Save your the condition of your sofa by offering your pet their own snuggly place to snooze at the end of a long day of being a good boy or girl.

The Tweed Home Dog Beds are suitably filled to make a comfortable place for your dog to rest after a long walk. Available in a choice of four colourways, you can choose the right dog bed that will fit in with your home. With subtle contrasting materials in neutral hues, not only will the bed appeal to your sleepy pooch, but it will look great in any room of the house!

Travel beds for busy hounds

If you love taking your dog along on adventures then a travel bed is exactly what you need to make their trip more comfortable. Whether you’re camping or simply staying with friends, a Tweedmill travel dog bed is an essential addition to your packing list. The range of travel dog beds from Tweedmill also match with their home dog beds – so why not get a matching set?

The high quality Tweedmill travel beds for dogs have the same tweed upper as the larger home dog beds but with a convenient waterproof base. Fabric straps with press studs allow you to roll up the bed with ease. Comfortable and endearing in design, the distinctive tartan of the Tweedmill dog beds make them a great pet accessory. We also suggest utilising these wonderful travel beds for keeping your back seat hair free and dry during car journeys with your dog. The back seat cover can be quickly rolled up and put in the boot after use. Take a waterproof dog bed with you on picnics so your friend can join in on the fun wherever you decide to make the best of a sunny day.
